Sapna Punjabi Gupta, MS, RDN, LD is a Culinary Wellness Specialist, Registered Dietitian, Ayurvedic Practitioner, and the creative force of beSPICED (www.bespiced.com) based in Dallas, Texas. She was born and raised in Mumbai, India, and came to the United States to pursue her graduate studies and dietetic internship program at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland OH about two decades ago. After working in the clinical field for more than a decade primarily as a neonatal dietitian, Sapna has been living and loving the entrepreneurial life that allows her to share her eastern roots and passion for culinary wellness for the last seven years. Sapna leads online cooking classes from her kitchen where folks join in LIVE and cook alongside her from their homes from around the world. Sapna also owns a line of spice products, and her vibrant YouTube channel celebrates food, life, and all things spice.
Sapna’s inspiring work and story has been featured in local, national and international publications including Food52, Clean Eating, Costco Connection (both US and UK), Dallas Morning News, Edible Dallas, and she has been recognized as Ayurveda Ambassador of Dallas by the D Magazine. She has collaborated with organizations that share her vision of sustainable food and wellness practices, and support cultural inclusiveness including IACP, Slow Foods USA, National Ayurveda Medical Association, Natural Food Expo, Crow Museum of Asian Art in Dallas, US India Chamber of Commerce of DFW, among many others. She is the former president of Dallas Dietetic Alliance, sits on the board of Slow Food DFW, and is actively involved with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics through multiple dietetic practice groups (DPG) such as vegetarian nutrition- DPG, Indians in Nutrition and Dietetics, and International Affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
