When food and small appliance companies want to reach consumers with fresh and creative, yet extensively tested recipes and concepts, whom do they call?

Roxanne Wyss and Kathy Moore.

Their careers began as Test Kitchen Home Economists and spokespersons for Rival Manufacturing Company, the company that introduced the wildly successful Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker. Today, Kathy and Roxanne focus on quick, easy, family-oriented cooking and baking for kids to adults, newlyweds to oldie-weds! They are cookbook authors (9 cookbooks), food consultants to food and small appliance companies, recipe developers, and food bloggers. They also market their own line of slow cooker cake mixes, the first line of cake mixes in the country specifically formulated for the Slow Cooker.

Their most recent book, Dump Cakes (St. Martin’s, 2016) will focus on the easiest sweet treats families can make, using delicious and readily available canned products.  Slow Cooker Desserts: Oh So Easy, Oh So Delicious (St. Martins, 2015) features new fantastic dessert recipes baked in a slow cooker.  Their Newlywed Cookbook: Cooking Happily Ever After (St. Martin’s, 2014) is an inviting collection of easy recipes to guide couples through their first year of marriage.  The Triple Slow Cooker Entertaining Cookbook (Robert Rose, 2012) features party plans and slow cooker recipes for entertaining.

In addition, four cookbooks under the Babycakes label—in conjunction with Select Brand’s Babycakes mini cake makers—focus on bite-size treats, cake pops and cupcakes. The companion cookbooks sold over 700,000 copies.

Both Roxanne and Kathy are professionally media trained and support their books and projects with extensive media, including print, radio, and television.
