Celebrating Black History Month: Tiffanie Barriere

The Lisa Ekus Group is very excited to announce the recent signing of Louisiana/Texas native Tiffanie Barriere, who is best known as “The Drinking Coach”! Tiffanie is one of five black female bartenders who were profiled by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation and celebrated as an influencer on the American drink scene.

Tales of the Cocktail also named One Flew South, where Tiffanie spent seven years as beverage director, “Best Airport Bar in the World.” Tiffanie’s main goal is education, service, and fun with every pour. She considers herself an independent bartender, and has created cocktail menus for pop-up dinners, hosted mixology lessons around the country, and connected the culinary and farm cultures through a bartender’s creativity.

Tiffanie is a Bar Smart graduate, Top 50 Tastemakers of the South award winner, and a member of the Tales of The Cocktail Grants Committee and James Beard Beverage Advisory Board.

She shares with us one of her favorite libations, “My Eyes are Green,” of which all ingredients are shaken together.

  • 2 oz Gin
  • 1 oz fresh collard juice
  • 1 oz pressed apple juice
  • .50 oz lemon juice
  • .50 oz aloe juice
