Rebecca Lang is the author of Quick-Fix Southern (Andrews McMeel, March 2011), Southern Entertaining for a New Generation (Cumberland House 2004) and Mary Mac’s Tea Room (Looking Glass Books 2005). Her newest book, Around the Southern Table (Oxmoor House) will be released in October 2012. She has worked on the editorial aspect of over 30 books. Her blog has been featured on the James Beard Foundation’s blog as well as the Food News Journal. As a Contributing Editor for Southern Living, Rebecca has been featured in over 50 cooking segments on the nationally syndicated show “Daytime.” She is a Contributing Editor for myrecipes.com and is the author of the popular column, “Girls’ Night In,” on the site. Her recipes have been featured in Disney’s Family Fun, The Washington Post, and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Rebecca has been quoted in Glamour magazine, the London Evening Standard, Prevention magazine, and was a guest on Martha Stewart’s Everyday Food on Sirius. Having taught hundreds of cooking classes, she is also a well-respected cooking instructor. Rebecca edited cookbooks as an assistant food editor for Oxmoor House. She is a former apprentice of Nathalie Dupree and is a graduate of The University of Georgia. She also earned a culinary arts degree from Johnson and Wales University. Rebecca is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier, Georgia Organics, Southern Foodways, the James Beard Foundation, and IACP. Rebecca lives in Athens, Georgia with her husband and two children. |
