With close to 20 years of experience in the food and nutrition industry, Toby Amidor, MS, RD is a leading dietitian, author, and recipe developer who believes that healthy and wholesome can also be appetizing and delicious.
Toby is a Wall Street Journal bestselling author and has written Smart Meal Prep for Beginners (July 2018), The Easy 5-Ingredient Healthy Cookbook (April 2018), The Healthy Meal Prep Cookbook (August 2017), and The Greek Yogurt Kitchen (May 2014). In all of her cookbooks, Toby demonstrates how to create simple, healthy recipes using easy to find, every day ingredients. Toby has showcased her recipes on national and local television programs such as “The Dr. Oz Show” and “Coffee with America.”
Toby is the founder of Toby Amidor Nutrition, where she provides nutrition and food safety consulting services for individuals, restaurants, and food brands. She is a nutrition expert for FoodNetwork.com, writing for their Healthy Eats Blog; a regular contributor to U.S. News and World Report Eat + Run blog; and an adjunct professor at Teachers College, Columbia University and Hunter College School of Urban Public Health. She also regularly contributes to MensJournal.com, Muscle & Fitness Magazine, and has an Ask the Expert column in Today’s Dietitian Magazine. Toby is the recipient of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2018 Media Excellence Award.
Previously, Toby was a consultant on three seasons of Bobby Deen’s cooking show, “Not My Mama’s Meals.” Toby trained as a clinical dietitian at New York University. Through ongoing consulting and faculty positions, she has established herself as one of the top experts in culinary nutrition, food safety, and media communications.
